My first brew from scratch after brewing a few batches from a kit. Go figure I decided to start with a simple recipe like an Oatmeal Stout!! Notice all the different ingredients that I used (especially the rolled oats). The bulk of the batch was extract and I steeped the chocolate malt and rolled oats. I read that oatmeal stouts can be a tricky recipe for all grain brewers because the oats can gum-up the mashing process. This was one of my favorite batches that I brewed.
